When performance and endurance are key concerns, the High Performance castor is world class. A large opposed taper roller bearing in the swivel head means the castor can be power towed at speeds up to 12kph over flat surfaces without obstructions. The steel passivated zinc plated frame is robot welded and a fully sealed greasable swivel head make this castor easy to maintain. Richmond’s High Performance Series is custom designed and manufactured in-house to specification.

The S897 by Richmond Wheel and Castor Co. is a swivel frame castor and is fitted with a polyurethane tyred cast iron wheel. This swivel castor is in our high performance series range and can safely take loads up to 1300kg. The S897 uses ball bearings for wheel rotation. The swivel frame allows the castor to swivel 360°. The diameter of the polyurethane tyred cast iron wheel is 200mm, the wheel width is 75mm and you can order separately (Part Number: PU896). For the same castor with a brake, see S897B.
